Tis The Season!

My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. - Bob Hope

Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone. - Charles M. Schulz

As in years past, OSL is once again participating in Constable Alan Rosen's Harris County Precinct 1 Toy Drive.  OSL's participation in this yearly tradition is a memorable and treasured pastime for all of us at OSL.

Students and their families are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys. These toys can be dropped off in donation boxes both in the ECE building and the upper grade classroom building. The toys are given to benefit needy children from nearby elementary and middle schools.  Donations will be accepted through the 14th of December.  In addition to the joy of giving and helping those less fortunate than ourselves, students will also receive House points for donations.

As Christmas draws nearer, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Giving to others is one way to slow down and remember the true meaning of Christmas.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders.  And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Isaiah 9:6
