OSL's New Library

The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. - Dr. Seuss

Children's author Kate DiCamillo noted that "Reading should not be presented to children as a chore, a duty. It should be offered as a gift."  The faculty and staff at OSL strive to stimulate a love of reading within each of OSL's students.  In an effort to achieve this admirable goal, OSL is very excited to be opening a brand new library.

The expansive new OSL library is housed within one of the newest buildings on campus, and features both new and updated books, as well as classic favorites from past. The library was generously funded by OSL's own Parent Teacher League, using funds raised via Eagle Evening 2017.  The parents, staff and faculty of OSL agreed that providing a new library for the OSL students was an absolute priority, and we are pleased to see this endeavor come to fruition.

Each OSL class, from the youngest of our students in Pre-School, all the way to the eldest of our 8th grade scholars, will have the opportunity to visit the library throughout the school year.  Younger students will enjoy story time and exploring the library, as well as being introduced to new types of literature and library manners. The older students will be able to check out library books, both for personal entertainment and educational use.
