National Lutheran Schools Week At OSL

This past week was National Lutheran Schools Week, and OSL, along with almost 2,000 Lutheran schools all across America, celebrated the unique educational opportunities afforded to our students because of the Lutheran school system. National Lutheran Schools Week presents us with the opportunity to publicly celebrate God’s work within the schools of the Lutheran Church.
Each year, National Lutheran Schools Week has a theme, and this year’s theme was “Real. Present. God.” OSL incorporated this theme into our week with dress up days, special devotions, House activities, special art projects, and more. OSL also celebrates Grandparent’s Day each year during Lutheran Schools Week. This is always an exciting, fun-filled day, and this year was no exception. The students love having their grandparents and special visitors see the school, attend chapel and class with them, and eat lunch with them.
All of us at OSL are thankful for the opportunity to be active participants in the superior academic preparation we provide for our students. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to share Christ’s love with our students and their families. National Lutheran Schools Week is one way we are able to celebrate these blessings within our community.
