Helping Your Child Stay Motivated Through the 4th Quarter

The fourth (and final!) quarter of the school year recently began, and we want to encourage our students to finish the school year with hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

Remind your child to stay organized throughout the rest of the school year! It can be an exciting time of year, and organizational habits may fall by the wayside. Your child should continue to keep their planner neat, orderly, and up-to-date. You can help your younger child by checking their assignments and planner on a regular basis.

Encourage your child to maintain their healthy study habits! Just because it is the last quarter of the school year, doesn’t mean that grades and test results aren’t as important as they were at the beginning of the year! Continue to enable your child to achieve success, with a quiet, distraction-free study area, and ample time and opportunity to study.

Remind your child to keep up their reading habits, and encourage them by modeling good reading habits at home, as well! Reading is beneficial to everyone… from the Pre-K and Kindergarten students just learning how to read, all the way through adulthood! If it isn’t already, work to make reading an integral part of your family’s lifestyle.

God’s Blessings on you and your family during this final quarter of the school year at OSL. We have a lot to look forward to in the coming months, and we look forward to a wonderful rest of the school year!
